Allegedly Congolese-Zambian musician, Mumba Yachi has called on well-meaning Zambians and his fans to donate towards raising funds for his Legal Support.
Despite the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) president Njoya Tembo saying the Association will help detained musician Mumba Yachi with all the legal supports during his court process, the detainee’s Legal representative details has been spread around to hasten donation arrangements, this is based on what was posted on the musician’s facebook page and I quote;
“We are raising funds for Mumba Yachi’s legal representation. YOU CAN HELP by raising awareness, spreading the word or donating funds. Payments can be made directly to the law firm representing Mumba.”
The Association of Musicians in Zambia pledge to help Mumba with his legal fees and it’s president Njoya Tembo was quoted saying “Yachi is now a victim of the colonial divides which separated tribes, communities and families to suit the wanton interests of colonialist forces.“
